Portable High Volume Coalescent Filters
Portable High Volume Coalescent Filters CK-50/150/250 are a most effective solution to remove up to 95% of the liquid condensate and dirt particles, down to 10 microns, from compressed air supply. Specially designed for portable use by sandblasting applications.
APPLICATION
Designed for use with portable compressors in conjunction with a conventional particulate air filter CAF-3 installed at the blast machine inlet.
STANDARD DELIVERY
50/150/250 litre volume steel tank. Stainless steel coalescent element. Safety valve. Manual drain valve.
FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Simple design, special for field use. Lower purchase and operating costs than by refrigerated or chemical drying systems. Cleaning with water only required for maintenance.
COALESCENT FILTER CK

Portable 50/150/250-litre capacity high volume coalescent filter CK removes water from compressed air supply for multiple blast machines. As moist air enters the CK, it moves up inside the chamber passing through a fine mesh stainless steel filter element that causes the water vapour and oil to coalesce into larger drops that fall to the bottom of the filter. Most particulate material, down to 10 microns, gets trapped in the filter mesh.

The coalescing filter in sandblasting is used to remove water and fine solid particles from the compressed air used in the sandblasting process. During sandblasting, sand particles are often mixed with high-pressure air, which can lead to water condensation in the system. Water and contaminants can negatively affect the quality of the work, causing dullness, rust, or other defects on the processed surfaces.
Coalescing filters work based on the principles of coalescence, where fine water droplets combine into larger droplets. These larger droplets are easier to remove from the system. By using such a filter, the sandblasting process can be more efficient and safe, with better final results, which leads to higher quality of the processed surfaces.
